In 2010, ten years after the stop of the operation of the Discovery spacecraft in orbit around Jupiter, and the last message of David Bowman, chief pilot of the first American mission towards giant planet, a new forwarding is launched by the Soviet Union, associating a Russian team and three American experts. Their goal is to give in state Discovery, then to try the reactivation of its trip computer Hal 9000, which perhaps holds in its memories the key of the mysterious events at the origin of the failure of the American mission of 2001.
